INT 201 & INT 212 - Fall & Spring Internship
Students will develop leadership skill and experience through daily Scripture reading, weekly worship attendance, and community through College Houses and Chapel Nights. In addition, students will apprentice with another leader to get personal training in the area of ministry that the student feels called to similar to the rabbi/disciple relationship that we see in Scripture.
PSF 430 - Discover Your Calling
Discover Your Calling takes a whole-person look at each student’s unique wiring, from spiritual gifts to personal experience, to personality and ways he/she connects with God. This course will help students understand that they are uniquely gifted to something significant for the Kingdom of God.
BTS 310 - Foundations of Faith (Genesis 1-12)
This course gives an overview of the first chapters in Genesis that provide the foundation for both the Jewish and Christian faiths
LMT 220 - Culture By Design
Every group has a culture, and every culture happens by default - unless you design it intentionally! All of us have a part to play in developing the culture of an organization. This course is designed to equip you to design a life-giving culture that reflects Christ.
LMT 442 - Biblical Leadership (Pastoral Epistles)
Everyone leads somewhere; it may be a business, church, family, or even a few friends. When leading, the primary question is what leadership style one should follow. This course is designed to help students lead from the Bible. Key leadership elements will be examined from specific portions of Scripture.
LMT 502 - Biblical Worldview (Romans 1)
This course will give students a good understanding of the major ways humanity views the world, the events and people in it, as well as a strong foundation in the only healthy God-honoring worldview: the Biblical one.
LMT 312 - Life As Ministry
This course will discuss the healthy boundaries and personal practices that will enable longevity in ministry. It will also uncover the truth that every part of your life is impacted by ministry and can make an impact in your ministry including marriage and finances.
LMT 411 - Local Church Ministry (Acts 2)
This course will discuss the five purposes of the local church, and how everyone fits in. Local church ministry is for everyone- from pastor, leader, staff member and volunteer. Each of the purposes will build upon the other creating a healthy church.
BTS 501 – Dispensationalism
This course will give students a good overview of dispensational theology. Students will learn 3 theological grids for looking at the Bible, human history, and future events.
LMT 421 - Homiletics (Preaching & Teaching)
At some point in life, everyone needs teachers (from tying shoes, to paying taxes, to reading the Bible). The beauty of the Church is that God has set up a natural structure of believers who are being disciples and making disciples together. Teaching is essential to this process. This course equips the student with essential perspectives and skills to help teach Scripture in any setting.
PSF 511 - Biblical Theology of Marriage
This is an in depth look at what God intended for marriage to be. Students will learn what marriage is according to scripture as opposed to the world and will learn the purpose and good practice of Biblical Marriage. Students will also discover how God uses marriage to reveal who He is and how he desires our relationship to work.
LMT 430 - Church Planting
This course will be about the importance of why, what, and how to do Church Planting. At FGU, we are a Church Planting Movement where every disciple makes more disciples, every leader raises up other leaders, and every church plants other churches.
PSF 211 – Walking with God Intensive
Walking with God is a personal invitation into a relationship with God. God is at work in us and around us. He invites us to join with Him in the spaces and places where He is at work. The incredible opportunity we have at this 3-day retreat is to learn to recognize God’s voice, walk with Him in a daily relationship, and experience God daily.
