POP UP CHURCHES

- MINISTRY IN ACTION -

At Free Grace Bible College, we don’t just teach ministry—we live it. Our student-led Pop-Up Churches are real, fully-functioning church gatherings launched and operated by our students as part of their hands-on ministry training. From preaching and worship to hospitality and outreach, students take the lead in every area, learning how to shepherd a church from the ground up.

These Pop-Up Churches give students the opportunity to put their faith into action, serve their communities, and grow in leadership under the mentorship of experienced pastors and staff. Whether it's in a coffee shop, park, or borrowed building, each pop-up is a living example of what it means to plant churches, make disciples, and boldly share the gospel.

Come experience what happens when young leaders step up, step out, and bring the church to the world—one pop-up at a time.

JAMES MATTSON

Being part of the pop-up service gave me a deeper understanding of what it takes to start a ministry. Inviting people in the community and then seeing them show up was both fun and rewarding. It was especially powerful to witness Joel, the theater manager, come to know Jesus and see his joy as people arrived. The excitement and unity of everyone involved made it unforgettable. It was a true highlight of my second year and a beautiful picture of God’s glory!

MICHELLE BENINCASA

I was surprised by how Spirit-led the pop up service was. We were surprised by the amount of planning we were able to accomplish together and the boldness Christ gave us to go out into the city evangelizing. We got a glimpse into what our pastors and leaders do for each service.

My experience with Free Grace Bible College pop up church really showed me some of the reality of what it means to work with other believers on the same mission of doing church together as a family. It gave me a good idea of what I would be expected for a higher leadership role and gave me things to work towards as a follower of Jesus, it can really give you a small fraction of what ministry would look like and what a church would look like in that community that you are doing the pop up in. I loved it a lot and it motivated me to want to reach the community for Christ.
